Audio Plugin Standard

All revisions of LV2 are backwards compatible. Revision 3 (2008-11-08) is the latest.

The core specification consists of a C header, RDF schema in Turtle and some human readable documentation.

A standard source package with all the LV2 specification components is available. Distributions are encouraged to include this package:

There's a simple amplifier example plugin.

LV2 is extended and enhanced with various extensions that add features not included in the core specification:

• Dynparam (dynamic parameters)
• Fixed buffersize
• UI
• Event port (for e.g. MIDI events)
• Port groups
• Units
